Bwa

BWA

The Bwa tribe, from Burkina Faso, usually make masks of animals from the forests, forests and rivers that surround their villages, to make the ghosts visible. The masks are often made of powerful animals such as buffalo, hawks and antelopes, which are used by families for protection. Through the use of these masks, during ceremonies, the ancestors are honored and the community is blessed. The masks can often be recognized by a zig-zag pattern, which shows the path of their ancestors. A path not easy to follow, but one that everyone should follow.
