Tolai

The Tolai are the indigenous people of the Gazelle Peninsula and the Duke of York Islands of eastern New Britain in the New Guinea Islands region of Papua New Guinea. They are ethnically closely related to the peoples of neighboring New Ireland and tribes such as the Tanga people, and are believed to have migrated to the Gazelle Peninsula relatively recently, displacing the Baining people who moved west was expelled.
