Brabantse Kunststichting

Brabant Art Foundation

The Brabantse Kunststichting started out as the Brabants Edelambacht in Tilburg, but changed its name in 1960. The Kunststichting was founded to stimulate the craft industry and to promote the interests of Brabant artists. In 1971 the Association of Central Brabant Artists was founded because of criticism of the admission procedure. The Brabantse Kunststichting then stopped in 1976, after which the provincial Art Center Brabant was established.
