It Boun fan Fryske Kunstners was an organization within which various art disciplines were united. These included literature, drama, visual arts and music. The association organized theme evenings, lectures, symposia and exhibitions. Disagreements arose because of the different disciplines represented within the association. This eventually led to the dissolution of It Boun fan Fryske Kunstners.
