Founded in 1902 - dissolved in 1935
Pictura Veluvensis is a former Dutch artists' collective. This association wanted to stimulate collaboration between the artists from the Gelderland towns of Renkum and Heelsum and to increase interest in art. The members of Pictura Veluvensis mainly painted landscapes, but still lifes and travel impressions were also popular. The association can therefore be seen as an offspring of the Hague School, where, however, there is a greater focus on forests and trees, instead of meadows. Every year the members of Pictura Veluvensis organize an exhibition in which artists were also invited to exhibit their work.
