First Enschede Artists' Society

The First Enschede Artists' Society held many parties, organized exhibitions, and fought for the preservation of various characteristic buildings in the city. The result of their efforts is, among other things, the establishment of the Marktzeventien art hall, which also attracts national attention due to its innovative programming. The creation of the artists' society ensured that many creative forces were unleashed in the city.
