The thrill of the primal instinct combined with aesthetic pleasure and emotional complexity create a unique experience that is hard to match. AJ Barnes (US, 1962) received a Master of Arts Degree from Ohio University in 1989, after graduating from Wayne State University in 1985. He is a former editorial photographer who produced much of his personal work on Polaroid instant film. After the demise of the Polaroid Corporation in 2004, he began working with the wet collodion process, an ancient glass plate technique invented in 1851.
