Albert van der Weide (Meppel, September 22, 1949) is a visual artist, teacher, curator, writer and worked for fourteen years as a director in higher art education.

Course Van der Weide studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Arnhem between 1970 and 1975. In addition to the visual arts, he also took classes in fashion and scenography, which he reflected in his later professional practice.
Visual practice

He was one of the curators of the Dutch Art Foundation exhibition The Personal is Political in 1981. In the last ten years he has also devoted himself to columns and TV blogs, such as The Construction of the World for Arnhem aan Zee and drawings, including the series 1006 Park Sonsbeek Drawings, part of a study into the experience and use of Park Sonsbeek in Arnhem in the year 2016/2017.
