Alfred Joseph Auguste Van Neste (Bruges 4 March 1874 – Ukkel 1969) was a Belgian painter, engraver, landscape painter, illustrator and designer of posters and book covers.
He was a cousin and pupil of Florimond Van Acker (1858-1940). He studied at the art academies of Bruges and Antwerp and later became a teacher there.
He painted picturesque spots in Bruges and Antwerp and also did so in Brittany and Venice. He designed images for processions.
He became Antwerp's most famous poster designer and also designed stamps, costumes and books. He illustrated the book De Leeuw van Vlaanderen by Hendrik Conscience (1912) and designed the book covers for three books by Guido Gezelle for publisher LJ Veen in Amsterdam.
