During his long life, painter Bertus Voortman (1916-2012) created an extensive oeuvre. Landscapes, city and village views were favourite themes.
Throughout his life he has always depicted his immediate surroundings, his Zutphen. The harvest is very varied and includes many hundreds of works, in different techniques and formats. He shows locations that are still recognizable today, but also places that now offer a completely different view due to innovations.
