Barthold (Bob) Buys (Amsterdam, March 24, 1912 - ibid., August 16, 1970) was a Dutch figurative painter. He painted and watercolored landscapes, harbor and cityscapes, portraits and flower still lifes, often in an impressionistic manner. He also illustrated several books.
Buijs studied at the Rijksinstituut Tekenleraren in Amsterdam. He worked a lot in France, in Brittany and Port-Vendres. His palette was therefore very light.
