Taken from the Simonis & Buunk site:
The Gooise painter Bob ten Hoope is an 'all-purpose painter': his oeuvre shows a range of subjects in various styles. Lively cafe scenes, nudes (his favorite theme), portraits, French landscapes, cityscapes and still lifes: he paints what moves him. His style varies from what he calls 'sur-sensualistic' (realistic) to impressionistic or expressionistic. Ten Hoope painted in the Netherlands and in France, where he had a studio for more than 40 years.
