Complete Christmas group consisting of 8 textile dolls on a wooden base with a narrow iron frame. Created by Brammetje Cox (1934-1998). She was married for several years to the well-known graphic artist Rob Cox. Had a relationship with artist Thieu Klijn. Brammetje (Maria Croonen) made about 1000 dolls, of which only a few complete Christmas groups. Her works are in the possession of the Municipality of Eindhoven, art libraries and private individuals.  Was a central figure in the Eindhoven artist world in the 1960s and 1970s. Became blind in 1987 and then became a sound artist.
Condition
ConditionVery good
Dolls are in very good condition. The little shepherd lacks a piece of wood that should represent a flute. This was replaced by a cocktail stick.  Furthermore, there is no damage to the dolls.
