Dadara is the artist name of Daniël (Piotr) Rozenberg (Łódź, February 8, 1969), Dutch artist. He has made a name for himself by designing brochures, record and CD covers, making paintings, totem poles, cartoons, installations and performances. He first became better known with Greyman, Statue of No Liberty (grey man, un-statue of liberty ), a 9-meter high statue that was placed on the Museumplein at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam in 1999. Since then he has undertaken several large projects. Since 2010 Dadara acts as director of the Exchange Bank, the name refers to (English) words for (stock) exchange, exhibition and (trading) bank. This is not a real bank, things are done that involve money. have, for example by editing existing banknotes. Artworks and projects that received attention: 1999: Greyman, Statue of No Liberty, sculpture/statue 2002-2003: Fools Ark (referring to Noah's Ark and houseboats), a three-masted ship built at the old NDSM shipyard in Amsterdam-Noord, transported to the Burning Man festival in Nevada in 2003 (USA), and set on fire there, then burned again at the Oerol festival on Terschelling 2003 or 2004: Fall and Rise of The Fools Ark (film released on DVD), with music by the group Lamb 2007: A pink military tank, named Love, Peace and Terror, in Amsterdam, eventually blown up 2008-2009: Checkpoint Dreamyourtopia, an alternative "border checkpoint" in Dallas (Texas, USA) 2010-: Exchange inhibition Bank and Transformoney Tree, projects (still ongoing in 2020).
