The series of posters for these Olympic Games was created through the collaboration of three artists: the Mexican Pedro Ramirez Vázquez (1919-2013), architect and president of the organizing committee of these Games, and the Mexican Eduardo Terrazas (1936) and the American Lance Wyman (1937) who also designed the “Mexico 68” logo.
The poster features an image of The Aztec Sun Stone , a late postclassical Mexican sculpture (from ca. 1510) housed in the National Anthropology Museum in Mexico City. It is perhaps the most famous sculpture from Mexico. It measures 3.6 meters in diameter and 98 centimeters thick, and weighs 24,590 kg.

-Condition: The paper of the poster is somewhat yellowed by the ravages of time and has spots, especially at the edges (see photos). The wooden frame has wear spots and is 'weathered'. No glass plate.
