As an artist I consider myself to be part of the second generation of constructivists. A movement in the visual arts in which visual means are composed in such a way that an image is created of great simplicity, purity and harmony.

I use impersonal means for this: lines, geometric shapes, black, white and primary colours. This leads to an abstract visual language, which makes it possible to represent the most "pure" image of the universal. Reviews, exhibitions and especially conversations with colleagues confirm my opinion that my work has qualities that breathe the spirit of the best that this movement carries within it.
Since 1974 I have consistently continued to search my own way, independent of all kinds of popular trends. Small steps in my development are clearly visible. From a total monochromy more "colour" has come. The flat surface becomes more monumental and spatial with the logical step sometimes a completely spatial form. The viewer will not easily avoid a confrontation with this work. Depending on his awareness of form and the effort he wants to make to penetrate this visual language he will judge positively or negatively.
