The lighthouse on the Dutch Wadden island of Schiermonnikoog has no official name, but is referred to as Noordertoren. The other tower is the former second lighthouse of Schiermonnikoog, the Zuidertoren. Weather reports for the coastal waters are provided from the tower. In 1998 the tower was painted red.
