• Henk Visch (Eindhoven, September 18, 1950) is a Dutch sculptor, graphic artist and draftsman.

Life and work From 1968 to 1972, Visch studied graphics at the Royal Academy of Art and Design in 's-Hertogenbosch. From 1974 to 1982, he worked in Boxtel, where he made drawings and etchings. From 1982 to 1983, he worked at PS 1 in New York. From 1983, Visch became best known for his sculptures, which he exhibited at the Fabriek in Eindhoven and later at the Amsterdam gallery the Livingroom. In 1984, he worked at the Ateliers Internationales de Fontevraud-l'Abbaye in France at the invitation of the FRAC. From 1984 to 1987 Henk Visch was a lecturer at the Amsterdam Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten and from 1987 to 1991 at the Maastricht Jan van Eyck Academy. From 1995 to 2001 he was a professor at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildende Künste Stuttgart and from 2005 at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Münster. In the summer of 2013 Visch was a guest lecturer at the Central Academy of Fine Art (CAFA) in Beijing. In 1988 he represented the Netherlands at the Venice Biennale, in 1991 he received the art prize of the city of Darmstadt and in 1992 he was invited to participate in documenta IX in Kassel. He received the Visual Arts Prize 2001 from the Noord-Brabant department of the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds. From 1996 to 2011 Visch made a drawing every Monday for the Mirza column in de Volkskrant. In 2018 he was awarded the Jeanne Oosting Prize in the Watercolour category. In 2023 he received the Wilhelminaring.
