He has crisscrossed the whole of the Netherlands, but has always remained true to himself. Jan Pieter van den Bos is a wanderer whose only permanent residence is his own multi-year plan. For 45 years, Van den Bos has been drawing a straight line in his life, which he calls his 'research': exploration of age-old lines of thought, from changing angles and points of view, translated with the help of various techniques into seven impressive series of intriguing works of art. From his first multi-year plan (1974 - 2012) come the series of gouaches "Odyssey" and the first part of the drawing series entitled "Phlegethon Passión". From the second multi-year plan (from 1998) come La Passión de Styx (acrylic), the Passión Lèthè (gouache/acrylic).
