- Versatile Zeeland painter and graphic artist. Obtained the MO-drawing certificate and became a teacher at the academies of visual arts in The Hague and Rotterdam. After his retirement he lived in Hoogerheide and later in Goes. In his early period he painted still lifes and landscapes in a moderate expressionist style. Later (after the war) even in the direction of total abstraction. The regional museum de Bevelanden in Goes has work by him.
