Mark Verdoes was born on October 30, 1960 in The Hague. From his youngest years he has expressed himself creatively, especially with drawing and music; he made his first photos at about the age of 6. In the early eighties he studied at the School for Photography and Photonics in The Hague, after which he started working as a reportage photographer for various magazines such as AvantGarde, Esquire, etc. In 1990 he became a member of the photo agency Hollandse Hoogte in Amsterdam. Ten years ago, longing for a new creative challenge, he started painting and sculpting in addition to photography. To support this, he studied at the Royal Academy in The Hague.
