Her works are held in the collections of the Pärnu Museum of Contemporary Art, the International Art Center Abu Dhabi Art Hub, and in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Spain, and Australia.

Shkarupa's work explores questions of internal transformation and self-reflection among Ukrainians against the backdrop of the country’s greatest challenges. The author herself spent several months in forced emigration, and endured frightening uncertainty and deprivations.
