The Garden of Eden is een kunstprojekt ontstaan tijdens een kunstmanifestatie genoemd De Plek. Deze manifestatie, die voort is gekomen uit een initiatief van de gemeente Delft en het door haar gevoerde kunstbeleid, heeft een aantal beeldende kunstenaars de gelegenheid geboden hun werk op ongebruikelijke locaties te tonen
.De 21 schilderijen zijn gemaakt op canvas van 50x50 cm. Het zijn associaties en geheugenspinsels,combinaties van woonsferen, zoals het platteland, het strand en de stad. De verschillende sferen die deze plekken oproepen, probeert Van Ingen met elkaar te verbinden.
