Printing stamp 28.5 x 21 cm Hand-printed by master screen printer Wout van der Vet. 1987 Edition 85 Prasadam lives and works in Oirschot. Before that he lived in Suriname, Australia, Thailand, Spain, and New Zealand. He raised his children in New Zealand and worked as a teacher of Visual Education and Art History at various secondary schools and art institutes. He also continued to paint and received, among others, the National Graphic Award from the Royal Art Society of New Zealand for his screen prints. Prasadam works in several techniques, but is best known for his portraits. For him, each portrait is the expression of a unique human being. Each person as a reflection of a unique human being, which finds its expression through the painter's quest in form, color, line. This search takes place through dozens of sketches and studies in multiple techniques such as drawings, watercolor, acrylic, and ultimately oil paint. In Prasadam's opinion, a search without these studies does not go deep enough. He wants to find the heart of his model. He wants to feel it beating and passing it on in the brush that paints. This deep interest in the soul of man has become the main characteristic of his portraits. This, in addition to his enormous technical skills, has made him one of the most skilled portrait painters in the Netherlands. His works are in many public and private collections.
