Every Monday evening a Special auction ends focusing on a particular artist or theme. Would you like to participate as a seller? That is possible! You will find more information here.
Such a small form and such a poetic concentration: that is the creation of Ruth Brouwer. It is actually not a pigeon but a symbol of a bird with a recognizable olive branch. The bird is encased in a circle and its tail extends over it to avoid stiffness. The circle in which he stands also runs eccentrically from the round of the medal. On the reverse is the text 'And behold an olive leaf was in her beak' from Genesis 8:11: proof that life will resume its course. The reverse is sloping on the side and not completely flat either. But why should that? It gives the medal a great tactile charm. #Louk Tilanus, Handy Sculpture
