- Slavi Soucek (11 August 1898 in Vienna; 6 January 1980 in Salzburg) was an Austrian painter and graphic artist.
Slavi Soucek attended the Graphic Teaching and Research Institute in Vienna and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts until 1919. After his studies he lived in Germany, Spain and Prague and from 1943 in Salzburg. After the end of the Second World War, Soucek was one of the first representatives of abstract art in Salzburg. In 1952 he founded a gallery for contemporary art with the painter Gustav Kurt Beck. In 1954 a graphic experimental workshop for aspiring artists was started in the gallery. From 1955 he taught with Oskar Kokoschka at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts.
Since 1973, the state of Salzburg has awarded the Slavi Soucek Prize for Graphic Arts in recognition of Soucek's achievements.
