• Dan Graham (Urbana (Illinois), March 31, 1942 – New York, February 19, 2022)[1] was an American artist.

Life and work Graham is considered part of modern movements such as Minimal Art, Conceptual art and performance art. In addition, he wrote rock music, was an art and architecture critic, author, sculptor and was an employee of architects and artists. His Pavillons in particular were accepted and exhibited everywhere in Europe and Japan, such as at documenta 7 (1982) in Kassel and in the sculpture park of the Kröller-Müller Museum from 1985 (Two Adjacent Pavillions). However, Graham did not receive the recognition in the United States that his friends and contemporaries Robert Smithson, Gordon Matta-Clark, Vito Acconci, Sol Lewitt, Carl Andre, Dan Flavin and many others did. Dan Graham lived and worked in New York.
