  • Hubert Cornelis Maria van Lith was a Dutch sculptor and medallist. Van Lith studied at the National Institute for Drawing Teachers and the National Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam. He was taught by Johannes Hendricus Jurres and Jan Bronner, among others. He married the Alkmaar painter Petronella Johanna Maria Kluitman and lived in Blaricum for a while. He moved with his family to the Gallery of the Paleis voor Volksvlijt in Amsterdam, later to the Kuinderstraat. In 1937, fellow sculptor Hans Reicher lived with the family for a while. Van Lith later lived in Blaricum and from 1960 in Edam.

Van Lith made figurative work. After the Second World War he made several war monuments. He was affiliated with De Onafhankelijken, Arti et Amicitiae, the Pulchri Studio and the Nederlandse Kring van Beeldhouwers. In 1931 he won the Prix de Florence and in 1960 the gold Arti medal.
